The San Francisco 49ers’s offseason has been full of surprises. Few thought the 49ers would trade Deebo Samuel when the season ended but he was dealt to the Washington Commanders shortly before the new league year ended. The decision to trade Jordan Mason to the Minnesota Vikings was another shock and there could be more surprise moves on the way.
But the 49ers made another surprising move on Saturday morning when they re-signed fullback Kyle Juszczyk to a two-year, $8 million contract. The move came just days after the team released Juszczyk and he visited the Pittsburgh Steelers in an effort to find a new team. While George Kittle expressed excitement over his return, he wasn’t alone as someone made their feelings known in a post on social media.
Kyle Juszczyk’s Wife Was Ecstatic Over Her Husband's Return to 49ers
Kristin Juszczyk had the same feelings as her husband’s All-Pro teammate did about his return to San Francisco, stating her gratitude to stay in the Bay Area once the news became official on Saturday.
“This past week has really made Kyle and I reflect on our past 8 years in the Bay,” Kristin Juszczyk wrote. “We grew up here. We turned friends into family here. We won championships here and we lost championships here. We feel so incredibly blessed to have called the bay home for the past 8 years. It’s truly been the best years of our lives. Kyle’s curtain isn’t closed just yet and we couldn’t be more happy and emotional to stay home!!! We’re forever Faithful.”
The Juszczyks have had an eventful eight seasons in San Francisco. Kyle Juszczyk began his career as a fourth-round pick by the Baltimore Ravens but signed with the 49ers before the 2017 season. San Francisco has seen plenty of success since his arrival, reaching the Super Bowl in 2019 and 2023 but they haven’t been able to bring home the Lombardi Trophy.
Meanwhile, Kristin career as a designer has also taken off, as she's designed vintage gear into custom pieces for her Off Season brand. The apparel has been showcased by the likes of Taylor Swift and Simone Biles and is now featured on NFL Shop.
With nine Pro Bowl appearances, a first-team All-Pro selection in 2023 and a second team All-Pro nod in 2024, the move to San Francisco has worked out for Kyle and Kristin. The next step is to chase the elusive championship the 49ers have been seeking in 2025.
