The NFL offseason is never short on entertaining storylines and Monday proved that. The football world was dealt some shocking news to begin the week when Cleveland Browns superstar defender Myles Garrett revealed that he's demanded a trade out of the organization.

Unsurprisingly, fans of the other 31 franchises have since been fantasizing about their team potentially trading for the six-time Pro Bowl pass rusher β€” including the San Francisco 49ers fanbase. In fact, even one of the 49ers' top defenders is making it clear that he wants to see Garrett in the Bay.

49ers Trade Rumors: Deommodore Lenoir Wants Myles Garrett in San Francisco

Just a few hours following Garrett's trade request reveal, 49ers cornerback Deommodore Lenoir took to social media in an attempt to lure Garrett to the team.

"Let’s get a ring, @Flash_Garrett," Lenoir wrote, tagging Garrett in an Instagram story (h/t @TheSFNiners).

Nobody should be surprised that Lenoir (or any other 49er) would love to have Garrett on the roster.

Since being drafted first overall by the Browns in 2017, Garrett ranks second among active NFL players with 102.5 sacks across 117 games. He's also racked up 250 solo tackles, 116 tackles for lost yardage, 20 forced fumbles, and 17 defended passes, further illustrating just how dominant the 2023 NFL Defensive Player of the Year can be.

It's hard not to love the idea of Garrett and fellow pass-rushing stud Nick Bosa terrorizing opposing offensive lines in 2025 and beyond.

The 49ers boast over $50.3 million in cap space this offseason, per Spotrac, which is more than enough room to fit Garrett's $6.3 million cap hit β€” a minuscule number for a player of his caliber.

NFL teams can resume trading until the new calendar begins on March 12, meaning a trade won't be finalized for at least another five or so weeks. In the meantime, the 49ers can work on putting together the best possible trade package for a player who'd instantly vault them into the next Super Bowl conversation.

Speaking of which, FanDuel Sportsbook is currently listing the 49ers as having the sixth-best Super Bowl 60 odds (+1500). As promising as those odds are, San Francisco's outlook would surely skyrocket if Garrett is eventually added to the mix.
