49ers must target CeeDee Lamb in the 2020 NFL Draft
The San Francisco 49ers are looking for wide receiver help in the 2020 NFL Draft and what better way to land that help then by drafting Oklahoma wideout CeeDee Lamb.
The San Francisco 49ers hold the 13th and 31st pick in today’s draft. After a strong season that resulted in a Super Bowl appearance, the team is looking to perform at the same level next season.
However, 49ers fans can expect a big impact player coming out of the 2020 NFL Draft. The first player San Francisco should target is WR CeeDee Lamb out of Oklahoma.

At 6-foot-2, 198 pounds, the Oklahoma product is a match-up threat for opposing cornerbacks with his size alone. As the No. 1 ranked receiver in the draft by many, Lamb could make an immediate impact for a team that is looking to restructure their wideouts.
The only thing that complicates this selection is that the New York Jets and Las Vegas Raiders all draft before the Niners. With each team needing a wideout as well, San Francisco may have to trade up to make this pick happen.
The Denver Broncos are also a team looking to acquire more depth and the team could trade up ahead of the 49ers — perhaps into the top-10. Fortunately, Denver seems to be more interested in Henry Ruggs III than CeeDee Lamb.
Lamb has a resume that speaks for itself during his time at Oklahoma. The standout player caught 1,000+ yards in both the 2018 and 2019 season.

He served as the top target for both Kyler Murray and Jalen Hurts. In doing so he propelled Oklahoma to the College Football Playoff all three seasons he was with the school.
Additionally, Lamb is so promising because of the physical traits that make him a dominant contested-catch receiver. That alone could be incredibly valuable for a 49ers team lacking in much physicality at the receiver position.
Lamb is arguably the most pro-ready player aside from Joe Burrow and Chase Young headed into the 2020 NFL Draft. John Lynch should seriously evaluate the immediate impact Lamb will provide to a team that is already a contender.
Garoppolo can continue to improve his play with the help of a one-two punch that Kittle and Lamb could provide. As a developing quarterback, Garoppolo needs all the help he can get and an explosive wideout that knows how to take care of the football is exactly that.
Lynch and the 49ers must do whatever it takes to make sure that Lamb suits up in the red and gold.
