2. Marvin Bagley

The Kings were expectedly patient with the development of prized rookie Marvin Bagley last season. One could even argue that now-former head coach Dave Joerger was a little too patient with him.

Nonetheless, the former Duke standout will now have his chance to make a significant impact in his sophomore NBA season.

More from Sacramento Kings

After almost exclusively coming off the bench last season, Bagley will now be expected to fill the starting power forward role and should see upwards to 30 minutes per game. Bagley will be out to prove that he could handle the increased workload.

At just 20-years-old, Bagley is still extremely raw and is far from reaching his ceiling as a player. But this upcoming season should be a crucial year in his development as he looks to take one step closer to stardom.

Improving his outside shot and his overall team defense should be primary areas of focus for Bagley this season. Too often, the rookie was out of place on defense as he seemed to struggle with the mental aspect of team defense.

This is something that could absolutely be coached and fixed, especially with another year of development.

Bagley will not only be looking to prove that he could handle a starting role, but that he could continue his development with another year of experience.
