Can the San Francisco 49ers actually win the NFC West?
The San Francisco 49ers have impressed so far in the preseason. But can they keep up their winning ways once the regular season finally kicks off?
The San Francisco 49ers have won their first two preseason games against the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos. Although these games don’t count, the team is looking good. But, will they be able to keep this up during the season and win the NFC West?
The possibility of the 49ers winning the NFC West all depends on the fact that things will need to go well. No injuries, no drama, and keeping eyes on the prize.
If all goes according to plan, there is no doubt that they could win the NFC West and maybe even make an appearance in the Super Bowl.
The Niners will need players like quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and first-round draft pick Nick Bosa to stay healthy. Garoppolo’s ACL tear last season deflated any hope the team had of making the postseason.
The 49ers have truly overhauled their roster for a fresh start this season. New players were acquired in free agency and via the draft and their starting quarterback is finally healthy.
Of course, winning the division will be tough, but with a different lineup on the field, the 49ers can find a new groove and forget about past seasons hardships.

San Francisco finished in third place only ahead of the Arizona Cardinals with a 4-12 record last season. Winning the NFC West would be a huge leap for the team this season, but it isn’t impossible. Outdoing the Los Angeles Rams will be challenging, but completely achievable if, once again, all goes well.
Vegas odds have the Rams winning the NFC West; the Seattle Seahawks and 49ers tied for second place. The odds may be against them, but first place is not inconceivable.
The Rams very well could suffer due to their travel schedule, injuries and a Super Bowl hangover after being overpowered by the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII 13-3.
The Seahawks simply do not have the star power that they have had in the past. It will be incredibly hard for them to be a threat for first place.

Head coach, Kyle Shanahan could become a winning coach this season. His current coaching record from his last two seasons with the Niners is just 10-22.
Shanahan’s first season was about re-establishing and rebuilding. His second was about giving Garoppolo the reigns (until that ACL injury). This season is about putting all of this into action and winning.
The 49ers are due to have a breakout, underdog, surprise season. Rebuilding is over, the time to seek the title is now.
Their roster is hungry and ready to prove their power. They have all the tools to do so, as long as everything falls into place.
