The Sacramento Kings may not currently have a first-round pick, but that doesn’t mean the 2019 NBA Draft can’t be exciting. Here is a complete draft preview ahead of this Thursday.

The NBA Draft is typically a very exciting time for Sacramento Kings fans. In fact, it’s a bit odd to be just a few days away now from the 2019 NBA Draft and see such little hype surrounding the team.

The Kings have had a top-10 selection each year dating back to 2009 with five of those selections being in the top five. But alas, Sacramento doesn’t even have a first-rounder this year — the first time that’s happened this century.

Still, that doesn’t mean there isn’t draft news to get excited about.

The Kings are scheduled to make three picks in this upcoming draft, all in the second round. And while the second round of the NBA Draft is essentially a crapshoot, every once in a while teams could find certain hidden gems.

Sacramento hasn’t had the most success with their second-round picks as of late, but the two most notable would probably be Isaiah Thomas (2011) and Hassan Whiteside (2010) — although their success primarily came away from Northern California.

But with three picks to make, perhaps the Kings could get lucky and at least find a role player who could actually be a part of the rotation down the line. Here’s everything you need to know about the Kings 2019 NBA Draft.
