Oakland Raiders: More big names to target during 2019 NFL free agency

2019 NFL free agency is just over a month away, and the Oakland Raiders likely have these three big-name players on their short list of potential targets.

It’s going to be an interesting offseason for the Oakland Raiders. Even if you’re not sold on Jon Gruden’s master plan of tearing it down to the studs and building it back up, you at least know you’re in for a roller coaster ride. The fun begins with 2019 NFL free agency.

A couple of weeks ago, we took an initial look at a few big-name free agents the Raiders could have their sights set on during 2019 NFL free agency. It was a solid bunch of potential targets, but it didn’t quite give us a comprehensive look at Oakland’s wide array of options this offseason.

So, in hopes of giving you further context on what the future could hold for this franchise, we’ve circled back to the idea of big-name free agents the Raiders could have in their crosshairs. There are plenty of noteworthy players scheduled to be available when March 13 finally rolls around, so picking candidates wasn’t too tedious.

While not all will actually make it to the free agency pool, that doesn’t mean we can’t speculation on their potential fit with the Raiders. There are players Gruden and Mike Mayock would be wise to avoid, but there are just as many (if not more) they should have on their radar as possible impact offseason additions.

So without further ado, let’s take a quick look at a few more big-name players the Raiders should target during 2019 NFL free agency. If Gruden gets his way, don’t be surprised if at least one of these guys is on the Oakland (or is it San Francisco?) roster come September.
