Oakland Raiders: Six most logical targets with the tenth-overall pick
By Kevin Saito
Who the Raiders will ultimately choose is obviously based on who’s there when they’re on the clock. What follows is based on the Draft order today and does not account for trades that can – and will – occur as teams jockey for position – such as the report that the Cardinals and Bills are both looking at trading up for a quarterback.

There may be as many as four quarterbacks going in the first round – Josh Rosen, Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield, and Josh Allen. And then there are elite prospects like Saquon Barkley, Bradley Chubb, Tremaine Edmunds, and Minkah Fitzpatrick, among others, who won’t get past pick nine.
Add that all up, and the Raiders are sitting in a very good spot, guaranteed (if they don’t trade back) of getting an elite prospect of their own – an elite prospect at a few different positions, actually.
And if there’s one thing the Raiders need out of this draft, it’s dynamic, elite players at a few different positions.
So, based on the teams currently picking ahead of the Raiders – and in looking at that team’s needs – here is one man’s best guess as to how the top-nine picks are going to play out.
Most Likely Gone By Ten:
1. Cleveland Browns – Josh Rosen
2. New York Giants – Bradley Chubb
3. New York Jets – Sam Darnold
4. Cleveland Browns – Saquon Barkley
5. Denver Broncos – Josh Allen
6. Indianapolis Colts – Tremaine Edmunds
7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Minkah Fitzpatrick
8. Chicago Bears – Denzel Ward
9. San Francisco 49ers – Joshua Jackson
This is, of course, tentative. There will most definitely be some horse trading and jockeying for position as teams start to hit the clock and names start coming off the board.
But, for the purposes of this article, we’ll go with what we know for certain – which is the current order of first-round draft picks.
So, let’s now look at what that leaves the Raiders with…
