#2: Tyler Beede – Beede, the Giants’ 2014 first-round draft pick (14th overall) has been working hard since the moment he signed his contract with San Francisco.

After pitching in the Arizona Fall League and Low-A ball in 2014, Beede was assigned to Advanced Single-A San Jose to start the 2015 season. He has pitched very well for San Jose in the four games he’s started.
He is currently 1-1 with a 2.53 ERA through 21.1 innings pitched. Beede has had some moments of control issues, as most young pitchers do, but he still owns a 2:1 strikeout to walk ratio, along with a very impressive 1.08 WHIP.
At 22 years old, Beede could be a player who accelerates through the Giants’ farm system. It wouldn’t be all too surprising to see Beede with Double-A Richmond before the end of the minor league season.
