A few more notable prospects:
Daniel Carbonell has really struggled so far this season for the Double-A Richmond Flying Squirrels. The outfielder is only batting .141 with 21 strikeouts in 71 at bats this season. To Carbonell’s defense though, the Eastern League is considered the hardest league to hit in in all of minor league baseball due to the caliber of pitching in that league, along with the huge stadiums that are played in.
Mitch Delfino, the Flying Squirrels’ starting third baseman, is having a pretty decent start to his season. He’s batting .270 with one home run, four doubles, and nine RBI.

Mac Williamson, another prospect playing for Richmond, is off to a good start as well. Williamson is batting .280 with two home runs, four doubles, and nine RBI. Williamson, a DH and outfielder, is seen as one of the best power hitters in the Giants’ farm system.
Adam Duvall is off to an incredibly hot start for the Sacramento Rivercats. Duvall is batting .344 with seven home runs, nine doubles, one triple, and 22 RBI in just 23 games. Duvall is another player seen as one of the best power hitters in the organization, possibly the farm system’s best power hitter even. Duvall has been playing a lot more third base this season, so it’s likely the Giants want him to become their third baseman of the future.
