With the NBA All-Star break upon us, the Golden State Warriors are officially at the “halfway” point of the season. A few weeks ago, we assessed how the Warriors stack up against their divisional foes. It’s now time to re-assess the power rankings for the Pacific Division at the All-Star break:

The Warriors are by far the best team in the Pacific Division at the All-Star break. They have the best record in the NBA, and they have the best offense and defense in the NBA, according to points scored, field goal percentage, and opponent field goal percentage. In addition, the Warriors’ starting backcourt will be starting for the Western Conference in the 2015 All-Star Game. The Warriors are riding high right now, and the rest of the teams in their division really can’t match up with them right now in any way, as the Warriors are more superior in offense, defense, depth, leadership, and team chemistry. Given how the Warriors have performed so far this season, look for them to remain atop the Pacific Division power rankings throughout the rest of the season.. (42-9). Previous: . Golden State Warriors. 1. team. 41

Previous: . Los Angeles Clippers. 2. team. 77. The Los Angeles Clippers are second in these Pacific Division power rankings, but they are not that close to the Warriors, in terms of record but also momentum. The Clippers are clearly just not as dominant as they were last season, and with <strong><a href=. (35-19)

team. 66. The Phoenix Suns have earned the third spot in these Pacific Division power rankings, but they are also far behind the Warriors and even the Clippers. The Suns have lost two games in a row, and they’ve gone an awful 3-7 in their last 10 games. The Suns currently have a 29-25 record, which gives them the eighth seed in the Western Conference. They are only half a game ahead of the Oklahoma City Thunder and one and a half games ahead of the New Orleans Pelicans though. Given the amount of talent on the Thunder (and even the Pelicans with <strong><a href=. (29-25). Previous: . Phoenix Suns. 3

(13-40). Previous: . Los Angeles Lakers. 5. team. 20. The Los Angeles Lakers are currently the second worst team in the Western Conference, with the Minnesota Timberwolves only two games behind them. They’ve lost six in a row and have gone 1-9 in their last 10 games. <strong><a href=
