Game 4

In a matchup of the worst record in the NBA versus the best, the Warriors were expected to roll over the Philadelphia 76ers. The same was said for the Lakers game, but this time, the Warriors wouldn’t fall into a letdown.

Golden State came out hot, knocking down shots and playing stifling defense, drubbing Philadelphia en route to a 32-17 first quarter lead.

Things would get even worse for the 76ers. The Warriors kept their foot on the gas pedal the entire game, getting basket after basket and stop after stop.

Every Golden State player with the exception of Brandon Rush scored in this one, with Marreese Speights leading the way with 23 points.

Speights, playing against the team that drafted him, shot an impressive 9-of-13 from the field.  He also blocked four shots and tied his season-high of four assists.

"“Oh yeah, I made sure he shouted me out for that,” said Speights, referring to Curry. “He’s always shouting me out for buckets, but I had a couple of assists the last couple games. It means a lot. I’m learning from the guys in front of me on how they pass the ball.”"

With the Warriors firing on all cylinders, the lead at one point got as high as 47 points.  The starters only played a couple of minutes into the fourth quarter.

As a team, Golden State shot 56.1 percent from the floor, logging an assist on 38 out of their 46 baskets. Defensively, the team notched 19 steals and 11 blocks.

The final score was 126-86, and Golden State’s record improved to 25-5.
