Game 3

After a day of rest following consecutive losses, the Warriors were needing to get back on track. The Minnesota Timberwolves would be in town, and Golden State would do just that.

The Warriors looked nothing like the team that took the court in the previous two games, playing with outstanding energy and hard-nosed defense throughout.

They jumped out to an 31-23 lead after the first quarter, and the lead would only build from there.

On their way to forcing 25 total turnovers on the night, the Warriors lead grew to as high as 27 points before the reserves came in.

The bench kept the lead in the mid-teens for the majority of the fourth quarter, hanging on for the 110-97 victory.

The win ended Golden State’s two-game skid, and it was the first time in six games the Warriors held their opponent to under 100 points. Even though the Warriors grabbed the victory, Kerr wasn’t entirely satisfied with the win.

"“I told our guys, `If we want to win in May and June, we have to play every possession,” Kerr said. “You just can’t completely lose focus and throw the ball where nobody is. Or maybe at a guy with a different color jersey. I was dumbfounded with some of the stuff that I saw. But as I said, a lot of great stuff, too.”"

Curry led all scorers with 25 points, adding six assists and three steals.

Thompson wasn’t too far behind with 21 of his own points, and he also notched five rebounds and four assists.

Draymond Green did a little bit of everything for Golden State, tallying only four points, but he had eight rebounds, six assists, six steals and three blocks. Most importantly, Green’s plus/minus on the evening was +25.

The Warriors improved to 24-5 with the win.
