The Oakland Raiders have started the 2014 NFL season with an 0-5 record, so it’s pretty much in their destiny to miss the playoffs this year (sorry, Raider Nation).

This brings us to the 2015 NFL Free Agency period when general manager Reggie McKenzie has to show improvement in order to keep his job (if he still has it at the end of the year).  The way McKenzie can show improve is by going after free agents who can play good ball and stay longer than the normal one to two-year contract McKenzie usually gives out.

Let’s take a look at some potential free agents who the Raiders could target, realistically and hopefully, and would be upgrades at their respective positions. We’ll start by looking at the offense.
