Wishful Thinking

Jordan Cameron: Cameron could be someone the Raiders heavily target in free agency in 2015 seeing how they don’t have someone stable at the position right now. Derek Carr needs someone he could rely on in the red zone and on third downs. Cameron is showing great skill with the Cleveland Browns and is up for a nice pay day.

The Raiders current TE spot is a revolving door with often injured player David Ausberry as the starter with Mychal Rivera and Brian Leonhardt as the backups on the depth chart. Cameron without a doubt is the best available free agent tight end in 2015, and it’s doubtful the Browns let him go with the production he’s giving them with Brian Hoyer and or Johnny Manziel at quarterback.

Realistic Target

Jermaine Gresham: Gresham is a solid tight end that can come in and instantly give the Raiders a major upgrade. Gresham is currently with the Cincinnati Bengals, which is a team known for letting players walk or keeping them hostage (Carson Palmer). Seeing Gresham in silver and black isn’t that far-fetched. Carr would have a viable third down pass-catching tight end that he could constantly rely on.
