Round 1, Pick 18: Eric Reid

The 49ers (Pick #31) traded with the Dallas Cowboys (Pick #18) to select safety Eric Reid. So far, this has been a home run pick. Reid had some pretty big shoes to fill with Dashon Goldson leaving in free agency. He filled those shoes and then some. Reid did make the Pro Bowl this year, albeit as an alternative, and he was in the running for Defensive Rookie of the Year. Although he does have some areas he needs to improve in, such as tackling, the 49ers struck gold in the first round with this pick.
