The San Francisco 49ers are one of 31 unhappy teams in the NFL. This group missed the postseason after going 6-11. The 49ers will use the next couple of months to change over the roster and Deebo Samuel likely won't be in that equation.

During player exit meetings, Samuel told San Francisco that he would like to be traded. He wasted no time hinting that he would be open to landing with the Denver Broncos.

There will be a ton of conversations around Samuel over the next few weeks, but the latest report on his trade value is disappointing to say the least.

Nick Wagoner of ESPN wrote an article discussing the buzz around Samuel and detailed a realistic trade package for the 29-year-old.

Wagoner wrote, "Because Samuel is coming off a down year and is entering the final year of his contract with other top receivers set to be available in free agency or trade, a Day 3 draft pick and perhaps another late-round pick would probably satisfy the 49ers. If there isn't much of a trade market, the Niners might have to settle for less unless they package picks with Samuel."

49ers Rumors: Deebo Samuel’s Reported Trade Value is Underwhelming

The South Carolina product didn't look like the same player this season. In 15 games, he finished with 51 receptions, 670 receiving yards, and three touchdowns. He also recorded 136 rushing yards, which is his lowest mark since 2020.

With him going into the last year of his deal and looking a step slower, teams aren't going to be rushing to trade for him.

This past season, Amari Cooper and Davante Adams were dealt for third-round picks. Cooper didn't produce much but Adams was excellent with the Jets. He racked up 854 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games in New York.

Adams is by far the better player so it makes sense that San Francisco won't receive something in the same ballpark. A pick on Day 3 sounds reasonable for other teams in the NFL but won't make the 49ers happy.
