San Francisco 49ers fans were sent on a rollercoaster ride of emotions during the opening stage of free agency after the team cut fan-favorite Kyle Juszczyk. The nine-time Pro Bowler was only an unrestricted free agent for a short period of time, where he received interest from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
However, the star fullback and the 49ers were able to agree on a new deal. San Fran re-signed Juszczyk to a two-year, $8 million contract. As you can imagine, 49ers fans were happy to see Juszczyk be back with the club as he’s an integral part of the offense.
The 33-year-old Pro Bowler took to Instagram to thank the 49er faithful for their support and appreciation after it was announced that he was re-signed.
"The amount of love and support thrown my way from the Faithful this past week and has been nothing short of amazing! I can’t thank you all enough and I can’t even begin to tell you how happy I am to continue on this quest for six in the red and gold."

Last season, the veteran playmaker recorded 19 receptions (31 targets) for 200 yards and two touchdowns. Juszczyk added 26 yards on the ground and a score. It was the seventh time in the last eight seasons that the veteran fullback posted 200 or more receiving yards.
Before the 2024 campaign, he signed a restructured contract extension. After beginning his NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens, Juszczyk has spent the last eight years with the 49ers.
Juszczyk doesn’t get much attention in a 49ers’ offense that features George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk, and Christian McCaffrey. However, he’s key to what the 49ers do on offense as they try to bounce back in 2025. San Francisco hopes Juszczyk can help them make a deep playoff run over the next two years.
