The NFL offseason is going to hit another notch in a couple of weeks. NFL free agency will open up in March with the NFL Draft happening in April. Teams will use those avenues to improve their roster.
In the meantime, teams around the league are looking to finalize their coaching staffs. According to Ian Rapoport, the New Orleans Saints are bringing in Scott Tolzien onto the staff as their quarterbacks coach.
The #Saints are hiring Scott Tolzien as their new QBs coach under Kellen Moore, sources say, as Tolzien and Moore reunite after both being on the #Cowboys coaching staff.

Scott Tolzien Set to Join New Orleans Saints Coaching Staff
Tolzien came into the league as an undrafted free agent in 2011. During his NFL career, he signed with the San Diego Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, Green Bay Packers, and Indianapolis Colts.
He retired in 2019 and immediately jumped into coaching. He first went to his alma mater Wisconsin to be an Analyst for the 2019 season before going to the pros. Tolzien was on the Dallas Cowboys staff from 2020-2024, holding titles as a Coaching assistant and quarterbacks coach.
For the past two seasons, the 37-year-old has played a role in the solid play of Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott. Over 25 games under Tolzien, Prescott went 595-of-876 (67.9%) for 6.494 passing yards with 47 passing touchdowns and 17 interceptions.
Moore and Tolzien crossed paths in Dallas, where Moore was with the Cowboys for five seasons (2018-2022). The 36-year-old Saints head coach liked what he saw from Tolzien and decided to reunite in NOLA.
As a first-time head coach, Moore wants to surround himself with similar faces and voices. That's what Tolzien provides and will be tasked with coaching up guys like Derek Carr, Spencer Rattler, and Jake Haener.
The Saints were 23rd in the NFL in passing offense (205.2) and are seeking an uptick in production in that area. Tolzien looks to provide that and will be the go-to guy for the quarterbacks on the roster.
