The San Francisco 49ers have seen a lot of change this offseason, as several players left the organization either through free agency, trade, or outright release and joined different teams for the 2025 season.

For the 49er faithful, the 2025 season represents a new era of football in San Francisco as they try to bounce back from a disappointing 2024 season. However, fans won’t have to worry about Brock Purdy and George Kittle, who will be back for another season.

The duo was spotted at a Nashville Predators game on Monday night. It might be unexpected to see Kittle and Purdy at a Preds game, as they weren’t playing a team from California.Β

However, the star tight end spends his offseason in Nashville, where he has a four-bedroom home, a golf course, and a private workout facility. In fact, the two have been working out at Kittle’s property.

With Deebo Samuel being traded to the Washington Commanders earlier this offseason, Purdy must lean on his All-Pro tight end plus his wide receiver core. Last season, Kittle recorded his second-straight 1,000-plus yard season.

The veteran pass catcher had 78 receptions (94 targets) for 1,106 yards and eight touchdowns. Kittle is one of the best tight ends in the league because of his receiving and blocking skills. It will be imperative for Purdy to get Kittle involved early and often next season, especially with Brandon Aiyuk continuing to rehab from his knee injury.

Speaking of Purdy, he’s entering the last year of his rookie deal, but all signs point to him getting a long-term extension this offseason. San Francisco will look for a better performance from the young quarterback, who took a small step back from what he did in 2023.

Last season, the former Iowa State signal caller completed 65.9 percent of his passes for 3,864 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions (career-high). He also had 323 rushing yards and five touchdowns on the ground.

The 49ers would love to see Purdy return to his 2023 level, where he completed 69.4 percent of his passes for 4,280 yards, 31 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. If 2023 Purdy shows up this upcoming season, we should expect a big year from Kittle and the 49ers' offense.
