3. The 49ers and the Green Bay Packers: always a heated rivalry

Last season the Niners took care of the Packers in two of the most lopsided victories of the year, including the NFC Championship. But with quarterback Aaron Rodgers behind center, Green Bay can sneak away with a victory.

A Thursday night prime-time matchup at Levi’s Stadium is the backdrop to this NFC heavyweight fight. It’s hard to say where the teams will be in the standings as they kick off the second half of the schedule, but it’s fair to assume they’ll be near the top of their divisions and the conference.

The Packers had an interesting offseason which included drafting a quarterback to eventually replace Rogers. Will we see rookie Jordan Love in week nine? Depending on how dialed Rogers is, there’s a chance we could.

As a fan of the CFL and Calgary Stampeders, the player to watch for on the Packers will be wide receiver Reggie Begelton. Assuming Begelton secures a roster spot, the lengthy but athletic receiver will cause fits for the 49ers defense.

It’s always fun to watch these two teams play and there could be a lot on the line when they duel it out to start November.
