What could the SF Giants get in a possible blockbuster Mike Yastrzemski trade?

There are few teams more pleased with the results of the 2020 MLB season restart than the SF Giants.

While this may seem curious considering the team currently holds a 10-16 record and is in last place in the NL West with no real path toward contention, fans in the Bay Area have reason for much optimism.

The team has enjoyed breakout campaigns from players like Mike Yastrzemski, Donovan Solano, and Kevin Gausman.

Yaz has gone from an intriguing older prospect with famous family ties to a budding superstar. Solano and Gausman have gone from fringe major-leaguers to potentially valuable pieces. Yastrzemski’s star turn poises intriguing possibilities for San Francisco.

Does the team use him as the new face of the franchise and cornerstone of the rebuild? Or would they be better off to capitalize on his sky-high value and use him as a trade chip for a younger prospect?

Let’s discuss!
