2. The Warriors should target Dwight Howard

Another current member of the title-contending Los Angles Lakers, Dwight Howard is a name the Warriors should keep an eye on. Adapting to a full-time bench role for the first time in his career this season, Howard has been a helpful piece for the Lakers.

In 62 games this season, Howard averaged 7.5 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game. Having wanted to redeem himself and prove that he still had a place in this league, Howard took a minimum contract this season and outperformed it to this point.

He could draw interest for several teams across the league in free agency because of his rejuvenation, the Warriors being one of them.

If the 34-year-old were looking for another opportunity to start, Golden State could be a desirable option, given all of their widespread talent.

Howard would give the Warriors a proven center, and although he is not the Dwight Howard of old, he could still provide an anchor on the defensive end besides Draymond Green.

With all of the spacing, the Warriors allow with their shooting, a big man with an inside game of Howard’s could thrive nightly on offense as well.

The fit makes sense for both sides, and if Howard is willing to take that team-friendly deal, this would be a match made in heaven.

With his illustrious resume, Howard would fit right in with this team’s mold, and help them make the leap back into contention next season.
