Who could be in the cards for the Oakland Athletics as Opening Day starter for the 2020 season?
Get excited Oakland Athletics fans, because baseball is back! The players asked when and where.
They finally got their answer after receiving word that MLB would institute a 60-game regular-season schedule to be played between July 24th and the end of September (exact schedule details still to be determined).
The shortened regular-season campaign will be followed by a normal postseason format. Of course, any season is pending the latest updates around the continuing spread of COVID-19 across the country.
Nevertheless, we finally have our first good news within the baseball world in months!
So with players expected to report to “Spring Training 2.0” by July 1st and Opening Day now just a month away, let’s preview some Athletics’ starting pitchers who could be in the fold for a season-opening honor.
