Las Vegas Raiders 2020 NFL Draft: Top WR target for each round
By Ryan Heckman
Round 5 Target: Kalija Lipscomb, Vanderbilt
Looking at the last three rounds, there are so many similar receivers who could be drafted in a lot of different areas. Without a pick in the last two rounds, I think the Raiders would be happy to reach just a tad for Kalija Lipscomb out of Vanderbilt.

He would not solve the number one receiver need, but no one in the fifth round or later will likely fill that hole. What Lipscomb offers, though, is versatility. He has the ability to line up wherever coaches want him to; experienced in both the slot and as an outside receiver.
Lipscomb won’t blow the doors off in terms of his speed, which might be his biggest knock. However, he is great at getting open. He’s a technician with his routes and makes it easy on quarterbacks to get him the ball.
His best season actually came in 2018, which might be another reason he isn’t drawing as much attention. That year, he caught 87 passes for 916 yards and nine touchdowns. In 2019, his totals dropped off quite a bit — 47 catches for 511 yards and three scores.
Still, watching him play, you can imagine putting him in a position to succeed as a pro.
He is too smart and too skilled not to have a role in the NFL, and as a fifth-round option for the Las Vegas Raiders, I like him coming in and competing for the fourth receiver spot on the depth chart.
