49ers 7-Round Mock Draft: Niners land a top receiver and pass rusher
By Allen Settle
Round 7 (217th Overall): Antonio Gibson, RB/WR, Memphis
Antonio Gibson is the perfect player to select with the team’s first seventh-round pick. He is an excellent athlete with the ability to play multiple positions on offense.
While he had only one notable season in college (he scored 14 touchdowns on just 77 career touches), his flexibility and raw talent should be enough to get him to the NFL.
Gibson would be best suited as either a slot receiver or as a receiving-oriented running back. If he were utilized in a similar way as James White or Austin Ekeler, he could prove to be an outstanding value as a late-round pick.

Round 7 (245th Overall): Frederick Mauigoa, C, Washington State
Current starting center Weston Richburg is coming off a torn patellar tendon that ended his 2019 season. While the team re-signed fill-in Ben Garland to a one-year, $2.25 million contract to help ensure stability at the position, the seventh round is an opportune time to further address a critically important position.
Frederick Mauigoa currently projects between a sixth-round selection and an undrafted free agent. His exceptional performance as a starter at Washington State makes him a worthwhile insurance policy at No. 245.
It is also worth noting that his biggest flaw, his lack of overall strength, is something that can be addressed through time with an NFL strength trainer and a weight room.
