49ers: Ranking San Francisco’s top 3 offseason needs

The San Francisco 49ers came just short of attaining Super Bowl glory last season. What needs will they have to address to take the next step in 2020?
The San Francisco 49ers will enter the offseason knowing that they were just a few plays away from winning their first Super Bowl title since 1995. It’s a difficult reality to come to terms with, but the 49ers have no time to sulk.
The 2020 offseason is officially here and free agency is right around the corner. In just over two weeks, the new league year will begin and all 32 teams will set out to make improvements to their rosters.
The 49ers are no different.
Despite a pretty complete roster, the 49ers do still have needs that they need to address. They will turn to free agency and the 2020 NFL Draft as they look to upgrade at positions of need.
However, with very little cap space and limited draft capital, that could prove challenging. Nonetheless, general manager John Lynch and company will have to do their best to ensure that San Francisco could repeat their success in 2020.
