San Francisco Giants: A complete fantasy baseball guide for 2020

2. Mike Yastrzemski, CF
When to Target: Picks 279-289
Mike Yastrzemski has a name most baseball fans are well familiar with. While the budding star certainly has a long way to go before entering the stratosphere of his superstar grandfather Carl Yastrzemski, he has shown the potential to be a productive player in his own right.
The 29-year-old outfielder had a phenomenal rookie season in San Francisco recording 21 homers, 55 RBI, and a .272 average over 371 at-bats. He is currently projected to hit somewhere between 19 and 29 home runs in his sophomore year.
For what it’s worth, Yaz is ranked 333rd by MLB.com and is the 99th outfielder on ESPN’s rankings. However, there is a clear path for his to surpass these predictions and become fantasy relevant again this season.
The Giants also lack depth at the outfield position. Yastrzemski is one of the few players on the roster capable of filling the role of an everyday center fielder. This fact alone should ensure he receives 400+ plate appearances in 2020.
If he continues to show the same pop he did last season, Yastrzemski will earn a place in your fantasy outfield.
