3. Glenn Robinson III

Glenn Robinson III is in the midst of a career year as the veteran wing has been forced to play more minutes than he ever has before. And in turn, he’s responded with some of the best play of his NBA career.

Robinson is averaging 12.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 31.6 minutes per game this season — all career highs. And those figures aren’t solely a result of the increased playing time.

The 26-year-old’s rate numbers are still impressive with career highs in points per 36 minutes and field goal percentage. Simply put, Robinson has exceeded expectations and teams looking for a wing to come off the bench will be very interested in him.

One of those teams is the Houston Rockets who are fresh off making a blockbuster that landed them Robert Covington from the Minnesota Timberwolves. With the team expected to go with a small ball rotation, Robinson could be an ideal three coming off the bench.

His defense is obviously worrisome, but he’s shooting at an impressive clip this season and his three-point percentage is at a stout 40 percent — a perfect fit for the Rockets’ shoot-happy offense.

A second-round pick seems to be the going rate for a player like Robinson and the Warriors could stock up on some extra draft capital and free up some cap to convert either Marquese Chriss or Ky Bowman‘s two-way deal.

A true win-win.
