Averaging double-digit scoring for the first time in his career at 12.4 points per game currently, Nemanja Bjelica has been a surprising spark for this Sacramento Kings’ team.
Being a veteran amongst a team composed of mostly young players, the 31-year-old would appear to be the perfect target for contending teams.
However, the Kings will likely not deal the veteran because he has been such a massive part of their success when they have been able to find it. This group is still pushing for the playoffs in a tight Western Conference race and trading Bjelica would be detrimental to that.
As long as the Kings wish to continue their playoff run, Bjelica will remain of the member of the team.
Struggling as is, trading away a valuable starter this late in the season would be near the equivalent to throwing in the towel.
