2. Center position

As it stands, the Kings find themselves in a jam at the center position.

The former number two overall pick Marvin Bagley has slid back into the starting lineup, staggering time between Harry Giles, Dewayne Dedmon and Richaun Holmes when not at the power forward spot.

Dedmon remains the most likely suitor to be traded due to a trade request earlier in the season regarding playing time. However, the center’s three-year, $40 million contract would make him an expensive acquisition for any team.

Yet, there are still teams that are scouring for a center that could be willing to trade for the big man. The Atlanta Hawks are a team that has publicly been on the prowl for a center, looking at big names such as Andre Drummond and Steven Adams.

A reunion with Atlanta or a sendoff elsewhere could grant Dedmon his request and free up the clogged center position, making it unlikely he remains on the team.
