One of the hottest trade commodities around the entire league, almost every team in this league would love to land D’Angelo Russell on their side.
However, his chances of being traded this season have fallen from slim to none. With Curry and Thompson missing significant time, it appears that the Warriors will hold off any trade, including their young star until the trio sees time together.
Several teams have inquired about Russell, but the Minnesota Timberwolves have been the most active caller. The Warriors reportedly turned down a trade offer from Minnesota and will hold on to the one time All-Star for now.
Russell’s four year $117 million deal makes him a more expensive acquisition for any team, meaning the Warriors could get an excellent haul for him if things do not work out.
For now, Russell stays put and plays out at least the rest of the season for Golden State.
