Raiders: 5 wide receivers to target in the 2020 NFL Draft
By Justin Fried
The Oakland Raiders will be looking to bolster their wide receiver core in the offseason. Here are five receivers they could target in the 2020 NFL Draft.
The Oakland Raiders will enter the offseason with a number of holes to fill on their roster. While the team overachieved to the tune of a 7-9 record in 2019, they still have plenty of needs to address.
While positions such as linebacker will undoubtedly be addressed, the team must also look to make some additions at wide receiver.
Free agency will be a good time to do this but with limited options, it would be foolish to rely solely on the open market. As such, expect the team to turn to the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft to fill their massive hole at wide receiver.
Tyrell Williams was signed away from the Los Angeles Chargers last offseason while slot receiver Hunter Renfrow was added in last year’s draft. Both provide a solid starting point, but it’s clear that the Raiders need more firepower on offense.
This year’s draft is stacked with top-tier wide receiver talent and while the consensus top receiver, Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy, may not be available when the team first selects at No. 12 overall, they will have two first-round opportunities to add a very talented receiver.
With that, let’s take a look at five wide receivers the Raiders could feasibly target in the 2020 NFL Draft.
