The Oakland Raiders’ 2019 season has come to an end and it’s time to assign grades to the entirety of the team’s rookie class following one year of performance.

While the season may not have ended on a high note going 1-5 following a 6-4 start, the future mostly looks bright for this young Oakland Raiders team.

The Raiders go into next season loaded with cap space and seem to at least have an identity.

But what warrants the majority of the optimism is the fact that the team has Mike Mayock evaluating the talent with five picks in the first three rounds following a stellar first-ever draft by the first-time general manager.

There is really no argument that the Oakland Raiders 2019 draft class tops the league thus far.

Yes, it takes three years to truly grade a draft class, but the Raiders 2019 haul has so far provided the most production — and the stats back that up.

Multiple rookies either started or played significant roles and we will be grading each of them based on their performances throughout the entirety of the season.

This list will not be including Johnathan Abram, Isaiah Johnson, or Quinton Bell due to a lack of playing time.

Of course, you could grade them as draft picks despite not playing, but these grades are just based on performance, not how good of a pick Mayock made with their selections.

I will say if I were grading them as picks, Abram would be a C+ since his reckless playstyle makes him vulnerable to injury which is exactly what happened.

Isaiah Johnson, I’d also give a C+ as he was drafted in the 4th round as a raw project, so him not playing much at all is expected, and fine in my eyes.

And 7th rounder Quinton Bell I’d give a D+ which is arguably too harsh. Bell was obviously too raw to make the roster but I do understand they drafted him in case another team would snatch him as an undrafted free agent.

With all that being said, let’s get into the actual grades.
