Manager: Bruce Bochy

The easiest choice of all in putting together this list — and not just because he was the only choice available for this category.

More from Golden Gate Sports

The San Francisco Giants may never be the same after the retirement of Bruce Bochy — a changing of the guard that will fundamentally shake up the culture of the locker room that brought championship success to the team.

Bochy came to the Giants in the 2007 season after managing the San Diego Padres for 12 years.

His time with the San Francisco Giants was transformative. While he never ended up winning National League Manager of the Year while in San Francisco — which is stunning when you think about it — he was undoubtedly one of the best.

He finished in the top six of Manager of the Year voting in the 2010s in five different seasons — three of those times in the top three.

He was honored with the chance to manage three different National League All-Star games — an honor given to the skipper who leads his team to the best first-half record in a season.

If those facts aren’t enough to convince you that Bruce Bochy was the right choice for Manager of the Decade — despite being the only choice — then three World Series rings can’t be a bad indicator of his ability.
