PG: De’Aaron Fox

The first spot on our All-Decade team goes to a current member of the Sacramento Kings, De’Aaron Fox.

Despite the fact that he his only in his third season with the team, he edges out the competition to claim the top spot. Fox’s incredible speed and athleticism put him in a prime position to become the Kings’ floor general for many years to come.

The former fifth overall pick was an immediate jolt to an otherwise struggling franchise. He averaged double-digit points (11.6) and over four assists (4.4) during his rookie campaign in Sacramento.

His sophomore season in 2018-2019 included a massive jump in production. Fox was not only able to see his averages rise to 17.3 points and 7.3 assists per game on .497% shooting, but he was also a key factor in the Kings 39-43 record.

This was the franchises’ best mark since they finished 44-38 in 2005-2006.

Fox’s presence on the roster gives the team legitimate expectations for the first time in over a decade. Despite playing in an incredibly tough Western Conference, the team currently has a 31% chance of making their first postseason appearance since 2006.

Leading a team with a reputation for dysfunction and underperformance back to the playoffs would be an amazing achievement for the young guard.

Honorable Mention: Isaiah Thomas
