3. Richard Sherman, CB

He may be 31-years-old, but Richard Sherman is still playing at an extremely high level. And the four-time Pro Bowler might just be preparing for his fifth trip to Hawaii representing the NFC.

  • Much like his teammate K’Waun Williams, Sherman is currently ranked in the top-10 at his position by Pro Football Focus with a stellar grade of 83.8.

The former Seattle Seahawks corner has looked like the vintage version of himself this season and it’s showed in his production. Sherman’s three interceptions are tied for third in the NFL among cornerbacks while only a handful of corners have more pass breakups than he does.

While he may have lost a step in terms of overall speed, his game has never really depended on that. Sherman has always been a physically-gifted, technical cornerback who relies on footwork and football intelligence to win his battles.

And there may be no cornerback in the game more technically-refined and intelligent than Sherman.

His name recognition and prior success will absolutely help his case as will the fact that he’s one of the best and most notable names on one of the NFL’s best defenses.

At this point, barring an injury or a significant drop in play, Sherman seems like a lock for his fifth Pro Bowl.
