Warriors: 3 statistics that demonstrate the insanity of the team’s injury woes

3. 10 — Different starting lineups used this season
Following Sunday’s loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, the Warriors have now used 10 different starting lineups so far this season.
They’ve only played 14 games.
Head coach Steve Kerr made the decision to start Draymond Green at point guard on Sunday following another injury to D’Angelo Russell. And honestly, what did the team have to lose?
With Stephen Curry sidelined and projected backup point guard Jacob Evans also out, the only other true point guard on the roster was two-way player Ky Bowman. And clearly he wasn’t going to play all 48 minutes.

Instead, Bowman came off the bench while Green was tasked with the role of facilitator — something he does quite well.
This only serves to underline the constant roster turnover that has occurred as a result of the mounting injuries. Kerr has been forced to experiment with lineups like this simply out of necessity.
No team in the NBA has started more lineup combinations this season — although their opponents on Sunday have come close with nine. For context sake, the Warriors used 20 different lineups all of last season.
They’re already halfway to that point just 14 games into the season.
The Warriors haven’t gotten much consistency from their starting five this season and given the constant shuffling, it’s pretty easy to see why.
