Golden State Warriors: 3 players who could be traded before 2020
By Justin Fried
1. D’Angelo Russell
No player — perhaps in the entire NBA — will be at the center of more conversations regarding trades once that December 15th deadline passes than D’Angelo Russell.

When the Warriors acquired Russell from the Brooklyn Nets as part of the sign-and-trade for Kevin Durant in the offseason, many questioned how exactly the 2019 All-Star would fit into the Warriors long-term plans.
He didn’t appear to be a great fit for their system on paper and many doubted that a lineup featuring Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Russell could work.
And ultimately, we may never get to see that lineup in action.
Rumors have swirled around a possible Russell trade since the very first week that the Warriors acquired him and they are only going to heat up more as the season progresses — especially with the Warriors on the losing end of most games.
Golden State will be given the green light to deal him once December 15th passes and they may do just that if they continue to lose as much as they are now. The possible package could be too much to pass up especially if the Warriors insist on a quick, one-year regroup.
It may be time to embrace the tank in Golden State, and that will be confirmed if the Warriors trade Russell before the end of the year.
