5th Round, 149th Overall — Hunter Renfrow, WR

Fifth-round pick Hunter Renfrow started off the season slowly, but as he has gotten his feet wet, he has slowly but steadily improved into what looks like could be a solid slot receiver in the future.

As a fifth-rounder, it wasn’t surprising that he didn’t do much early in the season. But after Tyrell Williams missed two games forcing Renfrow into the action and he still was mostly invisible, it was starting to seem like he actually had a long way to go and was available in the fifth round for a reason.

Renfrow finally seemed to have a breakout game against the Houston Texans as he scored his first career touchdown on a 65-yard catch and run while finishing the game with a career-high in yards with 88.

He confirmed the fact that he indeed had a breaking out, not just a one-off great game due to one big reception, as he totaled a career-high of six receptions on 54 yards, including the game-winning touchdown on an improvised route this past week.

Even before the Houston game, it was apparent that Renfrow was clutch.

Of his 24 receptions, 15 have gone for first downs as he continues to live up to his legend back at Clemson where he was known for moving the chains and making game-winning touchdowns in big-time moments.
