The Golden State Warriors have lost Stephen Curry for the foreseeable future with a broken hand. Here are three players who must step up in his absence.

The Golden State Warriors‘ 2019-20 season has gotten off to an atrocious start and that was only compounded by the loss of superstar point guard Stephen Curry during Wednesday night’s loss to the Phoenix Suns.

In fact, you’d be hard-pressed to imagine a worse start to the season.

Regression was always expected following the loss of Kevin Durant in free agency and the absence of Klay Thompson as he recovers from a torn ACL, but the loss of Curry is absolutely devastating to an organization that has been decimated by injuries.

As longtime Warriors broadcaster Jim Barnett pointed out during Wednesday’s game, the Warriors have now lost each of Durant, Thompson, and Curry to serious injuries in their last six total games.

There might not be a worse stretch of injury misfortune in NBA history.

Can the Warriors survive without Curry for the foreseeable future? It’s possible, but it certainly isn’t going to be easy. Let’s take a look at three players who must step up in Curry’s absence if the Warriors are to find success.
