Oakland Raiders: Rookie stock report following Week 7 loss to Green Bay Packers
By Nico Di Fede
The Oakland Raiders suffered a blowout loss in Week 7 losing 42-24 to the Green Bay Packers. Let’s take a look at the rookie stock report following a disappointing week.
The Oakland Raiders suffered an ugly loss to the Green Bay Packers this past Sunday falling 42-24 in their fourth game of a five-game road trip.
The Raiders offense started off well with head coach Jon Gruden’s play design looking better than it has all season. Players were getting open on mismatches left and right while Josh Jacobs and the running game gained tough yards on the ground as usual.
A fumble by Derek Carr in the red zone that led to a touchback and a seven-play, 80-yard drive by the Packers to put them up 10-21 before the half turned the tides of the game.
And the Raiders were never able to regain momentum as the defense gave up touchdowns on three of the Packers five drives in the second half.
It was the same group of rookies, as usual, getting a large percentage of snaps with three of them playing over 50% of non-special-teams snaps on their side of the ball.
Let’s go over their current trajectories two weeks from the halfway point in the season.
