Oakland Raiders: 3 trades that could land the team Stefon Diggs
Conclusion
If the Oakland Raiders could land him, Stefon Diggs would be the perfect addition for Jon Gruden’s West Coast offense. He’d alleviate some of the pressures that come with finding diamonds in the rough within a shambled receiving group.
But for him to make his way to the Silver and Black, the Raiders might have to end up being patient.
Diggs might not be the immediate solution for this season thanks to the logistics. A lot of things would have to go right in order for him to wind up in Oakland before the team packs up for Las Vegas next season.
But even if the Raiders do have to wait, Diggs can still be a cornerstone piece to a rebuilding Raiders team. He could be the missing piece that takes the Raiders to the next level.

Players like Trent Brown have already put out their pleas to try and bolster the team. And Raider Nation sure wouldn’t be upset about adding a vertical threat like Diggs, especially if there continue to be injury concerns with the current receivers.
If the Raiders can get the deal done now, this might be the best time to try and overtake the Chiefs while their general is down with a knee injury.
They’ll still be working uphill against a Super Bowl favorite for the division, but, if Gruden and company feel that they have a chance this year, then they’re going to have to do something to solidify the offense while the defense continues to impress.
They’ll also be up against a couple of other teams that could be looking for other offensive options.
The New England Patriots, for example, might be in the same boat as the Oakland Raiders after their unceremonious split from Antonio Brown. Tom Brady doesn’t seem especially happy about losing a deep-field threat.
If the Vikings are committed to sticking with their squad and going for it without selling off Stefon Diggs, then the Raiders might be best to not get too infatuated with him or any other tradeable offensive piece.
Time is on their side so long as they don’t become prisoners of the moment.
It’s up to them to make the most out of this season, and that might mean staying the course no matter how much they end up overachieving.
