Oakland Raiders: Rookie stock report following Week 5 win over the Bears
By Nico Di Fede
Stock Neutral: Trayvon Mullen, Keelan Doss
Trayvon Mullen did not play much for the second week in a row, with only seven defensive snaps this game, and didn’t record a single stat.
The Clemson product struggled Week 1 and since then hasn’t got much playing time, but has looked solid in run support and has had some positive coverage snaps when he does see the field.
As a second-round pick, many people expected Mullen to eventually start at some point in the season over Daryl Worley. But Worley has ended up being the Raiders’ best corner through five weeks.
So far this looks to be mostly a development year for Mullen and that is fine. But we would like to see a little more from a second-rounder.
Keelan Doss got more playing time with Tyrell Williams out and he caught two passes for 11 yards. That isn’t much production but as an unfrafed free agent from a small school, getting playing time at all is a positive.
He also caught two passes last week and showed he is a willing blocker.
