The Stanford football program picked up a huge upset victory at home over the No. 15 ranked Washington Huskies. Here are our top three takeaways from this monumental win.

Stanford football got themselves back in the win column on Saturday night when they pulled off an incredible upset defeating the No. 13 ranked Washington Huskies at home.

It was a much-needed win for a Stanford team that had lost three games in rather uninspiring fashion prior to a win over lowly Oregon State last week.

Stanford’s season had been decimated by injuries to this point including injuries to starting quarterback K.J. Costello as well as numerous offensive linemen.

But on Saturday night, none of that mattered.

Stanford played their brand of football and made Washington look hopeless as the Cardinal defeated a superior Huskies team in every facet of the game. But just watching on Saturday, you would have had no clue that Washington was considered 13.5-point favorites.

The Cardinal dominated the game and even though their struggles shined through at points, Washington’s struggles were more apparent.

Let’s take a look at the top three takeaways from Stanford’s huge Week 6 win over Washington.
