ESPN recently released the annual list of their predictions for the top 100 players in the upcoming season. The list has been widely criticized and the Golden State Warriors players’ rankings were amongst the most controversial.

Counting down from lowest to the highest rating of the Golden State Warriors, we’ll examine each ranking. From there we’ll decide how accurate the ranking is going to be and then if it’s wrong, we’ll suggest a new ranking that better suits them.

The ESPN ranking tends to focus on how the players will perform in the regular season. Previous experience tells us that playoff performance is what separates the good from the great players. Elite players perform in the playoffs.

That is where the Golden State Warriors excel. Draymond Green often increases his productivity in the postseason and this season Klay Thompson isn’t going to have a great regular season due to his injury.

By the time the playoffs roll around, Thompson and Green will be different players to how they are in the regular season.

For that reason, we’ll be considering the playoffs as more valuable than the regular season.
