Steve Kerr recently went on ‘The Full 48 podcast’ with Howard Beck to discuss all things Golden State Warriors in the run-up to the start of the NBA season.

On “The Full 48 Podcast,” Howard Beck and Steve Kerr covered a lot of topics from Kevin Durant to Klay Thompson. But the subject which fans were clamoring to hear about most was how Kerr plans to use D’Angelo Russell in their Golden State Warriors offense this upcoming season.

Kerr understandably didn’t commit to a lot of his answers as he’s not even had training camp yet with his massively overhauled roster.

However, he did say that he was certain of one thing, which is that he would stagger Russell and Stephen Curry so that at least one of them was on the court at all times.

This makes a whole world of sense because the second unit doesn’t have a proven, reliable point guard who can initiate offense and get the offense flowing.

Having seen each of these two run an offense last year, it will be interesting to see the contrast of the Curry-led Warriors and the Russell-led Warriors, and even more interesting to see how the two of them will mesh together when they’re both on the floor at the same time.
