SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA – MAY 11: Timo Meier #28 of the San Jose Sharks looks on against the St. Louis Blues during the third period in Game One of the Western Conference Finals during the 2019 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs at SAP Center on May 11, 2019 in San Jose, California. Timo Meier

In only his second full season in the NHL, Timo Meier has created a buzz around him that will have all eyes on him every time he comes on to the ice. In 78 games last season, the 22-year-old notched his first-ever 30 goal season while also putting up 30 assists for 66 points.

More from San Jose Sharks

The Sharks will be looking for Meier to take it up yet another level as his will be in his third NHL season and will most likely be playing on one of the top two lines for the team.

With the departure of former captain Joe Pavelski, Meier will be getting that much more ice time and will need to capitalize on each opportunity that he can to make sure that he is one of the top players once again on the Sharks roster.

Some reasonable expectations that us fans should have for Meier this season are 35 goals and 39 assists for a total of 74 points. This is of course if he stays healthy and plays 78+ games like he did last season.

The ice time will be there for Meier and these predictions are not too far out of line compared to what he did a season ago.
