Livingston Behind the Back to Klay in Transition

This play is straight after the last, starting at 0:45. This was in a regular-season game against the Philadelphia 76ers in 2017. The Warriors have always been a dominant team in transition, with Livingston as one of the best.

He always seems to make the right decision in those situations. This is no exception.

He executes a beauty of a behind-the-back crossover to evade Ben Simmons before confusing J.J. Redick with a behind-the-back pass to Klay Thompson for the three.

Livingston’s Best Behind the Back to Jones

This highlight came at 0:59 in the video. This came last season in the regular season against the Los Angeles Lakers. Livingston starts down in the weak side dunker’s spot just on the edge of the paint at the baseline.

He makes a cut that we are seeing more and more of in modern basketball. He cuts behind his man to the opposite dunker’s spot. His man can’t see him because he is focused on helping on any potential cuts or drives from other players.

This means that Livingston is open for the pass from Curry. Both the defenders in the paint go directly to Livingston and he expertly predicts that and fires off a quick behind-the-back bouncer to Damian Jones for the finish.
