OAKLAND, CA – APRIL 16: Shaun Livingston #34 of the Golden State Warriors attempts a layup over Corey Brewer #33 of the Houston Rockets in the third quarter in Game One of the Western Conference Quarterfinals during the 2016 NBA Playoffs at ORACLE Arena on April 16, 2016 in Oakland, California. Livingston Dunks on Capela

The next play of the video is at 0:32. This one also came in the 2018 Western Conference Finals against the Rockets. This highlight came in Game 4 with the Warriors up 2-1.

It’s the beginning of the fourth quarter with the Warriors up by 10 points. The game is just starting to get away from the Rockets and the Warriors were hoping to string together a couple of good plays to finish off the game and demoralize Houston.

Yet again, Livingston steps up for the huge play with a vicious poster on Clint Capela.

Unfortunately, the Warriors ended up losing this game to the Rockets, although they would go on to win the series and then the championship.

Livingston Shakes, Livingston Bakes

This play is at 0:38 in the video. This happened in a regular-season game against the Rockets in 2016. Livingston’s best plays seem to often come against the Rockets.

This is just ridiculous though. It is a play that reminds you of how talented he is physically and mentally. This play is the perfect mix of craftiness, athleticism, and pure length. He starts by bumping off Ty Lawson with a strong shoulder to create room.

Then he strings together a few crossovers to find room to drive baseline to the basket. Corey Brewer swiftly comes over to help and Livingston just circumvents him completely, leaving him flat-footed with no clue how to defend the attack.

This play is great because it’s a fantastic example of arguably Livingston’s best ability, his incredible basketball IQ. He uses it to come up with a move that exploits all of his strengths on the offensive end.
